Notification on Personal Data Protection Law


The purpose of the Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698 is to protect fundamental human rights and freedoms, especially privacy in the processing of personal data, as well as the regulation of obligations, procedures and principles that must be followed by real and legal entities that process personal data.
Medipolitan Health and Education Services Inc. (“Medipol Health Group”), as the protection of personal data under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (hereinafter “Law”) and the relevant legislation, can only processed your personal data in accordance with the rules indicated below and the Regulations of private hospitals and the Ministry of Health and relevant legislation.


Collection Method of Your Personal Data


In order to protect public health, preventive medicine, records related to applications submitted to our medical institutions, provision of medical diagnostic, treatment and care services, planning and management of health services and financing; verbally, in writing, in visual or electronic form, online through the SSI system, from shared records if you receive benefits from a private insurance company, via mail (e-mail), call records at the call center, website that you send over other medical records facilities upon arrival by contacting our medical facilities, are obtained by Medipol Health Group.


Medipol Health Group
may process your special personal data and general personal data, and especially your health data in a manner that is related to the objectives specified in this article, including but not limited to:

  • Your identity information Your name, surname, T.R. ID no. Your ID number, passport number or temporary TR ID number, place and date of birth, marital status, gender, insurance and / or patient protocol number and other identification data that may identify you,
  • Your Contact Information: Your address, phone number, e-mail address and other contact data,
  • Your voice calls and e-mails, which are stored in accordance with call center standards by customer representatives or patient services or your personal data obtained by contacting us in other ways,
  • Your financial data, such as your bank account number, IBAN number, credit card information only, indicated on the receipt, billing and payment information,
  • Your private health insurance data and Social Security Institute data for financing and planning health services,
  • Your Health Information: Any medical results obtained during or as a result of medical diagnostics, treatment and care services, including, but not limited to, patient medical reports, diagnostic data, biometric and genetic data, laboratory results, test results, examination data, prescribing information, appointment and prescription information, but not limited with them,
  • Your reports, such as questionnaires completed by patients, letters of appreciation and complaints, results of satisfaction,
  • Your car license plate, if you use a car park,
  • In accordance with the laws of our hospital, your images taken from cameras that are constantly recording in public places,
  • Your health data and other personal data that you send or enter on all websites belonging to Medipol Health Group,
  • If you apply to Medipol Health Group, your personal data, including the CV provided in this regard, and any personal data related to your service contract, if you are a Medipol Health Group employee or an associated employee.


Purposes and Legal Reasons of Processing Your Personal Data


In the framework of the legislation on health services, which is a public service, and in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 6698; as a data controller, Medipol Health Group will only be able to process the special personal data of our valuable patients for the following purposes:

  • Public health protection, preventive medicine, medical diagnosis, treatment and maintenance services, healthcare and financing planning and management,
  • Planning and management of the operation of our hospitals,
  • If you make an appointment, be able to inform you about the appointment,
  • Exchange of information requested by the Ministry of Health and relevant government agencies and organizations in accordance with relevant legislation,
  • Analyzing health services you used for the development and improvement of health services and storing your health data,
  • Confirming your identity,
  • Taking all necessary technical and administrative measures within the scope of data security of the systems and applications used,
  • Keeping information about your health data that should be kept in accordance with the relevant legislation,
  • Providing the necessary information to regulatory and supervisory authorities in accordance with the requirements and control of official bodies,
  • Sharing the information requested with private insurance companies within the scope of healthcare financing,
  • Performing risk management and quality improvement activities,
  • Measuring patient satisfaction and answering all your questions and complaints within our health services,
  • And, without limitation,all information which may be used to carry out medical diagnostics, treatment and care services, development, planning and management of medical services and financing, increasing patient satisfaction, relevant research and development and similar goals. No violation of your personal rights will be allowed during the processing of the data.

In accordance with applicable law, your personal information will be registered in the system, stored, classified, processed, transferred, updated and be shared only at the request of official institutions (courts, chief prosecutors, ministries, etc.), if permitted by law.


Transfer of Personal Data


Within the scope of Law No. 6698 and other relevant legislation and for the above mentioned purposes, your personal information won’t be shared with other people and institutions,  except for:

  • Social Security Institution,
  • Private insurance companies,
  • Ministry of Health and affiliated sub-units,
  • General Directorate of Security and similar law enforcement officers,
  • General Directorate of Population,
  • Turkey Pharmacists Association,
  • Chief Public Prosecutors, Courts and all kinds of judicial units,
  • Laboratory, center and similar third parties with whom we collaborate for medical diagnosis,
  • In case of a possible legal dispute, our Institution's lawyers,
  • Official institution representatives who have the authority to audit our institutions,
  • Other official authorities authorized by law.



Your Rights for the Protection of Personal Data

 

  • In accordance with the relevant legislation of your personal data;
  • We present your information that you have rights to learn whether it is processed,
  • Request information about this, if processed,
  • Learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used in accordance with its purpose,
  • Know the third parties to whom it was transferred, request a correction in case of its incomplete or incorrect execution,
  • Request to delete or destroy personal data under the conditions provided for in Article no. 7 of Law No. 6698, provided that the legal obligation regarding the storage and preservation of patient data required by the Health Law is retained,
  • Request the third parties to whom it is transferred to be notified of the above-mentioned correction, deletion or destruction,
  • Object to the emergence of a result against you by analyzing exclusively with the help of automated systems,
  •  Request the removal of the damage in case you suffer damage due to being processed illegally.
