Sports activities are an integral part of our everyday lives, unfortunately unconscious activity may lead undesirable results. In the Department of Sports Physiology and Sports Surgery, both researches related to sports physiology and the treatment of both professional and amateur sportsmen are done.

Arthroscopic joint surgery is the most common treatment modalities in this field; is an effective type of surgery that helps patients to regain their health and return to their daily activities in a short time and succesfully performed in this department. The necessary physical therapy planned by Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Department after arthroscopy , sportsmen regain their sporting activities patients return to their normal lives quickly . Here also the knee, shoulder, elbow, hip, ankle, wrist arthroscopy surgeries are succesfully applied.

Arthrosis or more more commonly known as "osteoarthritis", opposes to a big problem due to increasing expected age and an active life expectancy in our country. various treatments are applied by considering the patient's age, expectations, health status and other diseases in the treatment of this disease. Some of these are

  • Total joint replacement (knee, hip, shoulder, elbow)
  • Unicondylar joint prosthesis (partial joint replacement)
  • High tibial osteotomy( repair of the load-bearing section of the joint via corrective bone surgery)

Diseases of the spine, scoliosis affects people in adolescence and adulthood and leads to both social and physiological problems. All kinds of scoliosis surgery, vertebral (spine) fracture surgerıes related to trauma and collapse fracture surgerıes related to osteoporosis (bone resorption) are performed succesfully.
