In Pediatric Cardiology Department, starting from the recognition of the unborn baby's heart disease by fetal echocardiography ,congenital heart diseases, heart diseases such as heart rheumatism in children developing later and heart rhythm problemsbeing a serious problem in childhood are diagnosed and treated by expert teams well experienced in their fields. Any kind of interventional procedures such as cardiac hole closing and baloon procedures which can be performed via angio can be applied sucesfully without need of open surgery. Medipol University Cardiovascular Surgery Hospital is one of the few centers in our country in terms of cases requiring cardiac surgery.

Pediatric Arrhythmia Center within the department is one of the very few centers in the world where the implementation of all kinds of diagnosis and treatment related to arrhythmia are implemented. Holter ECG, exercise testing, the event recorder (event recorder), signal averaged ECG, tilt table, transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography, genetic testing, genetic arrhythmias, interventional procedures, non-fluoroscopy ablation with three-dimensional systems, (developed by department supervisor Prof. Dr. Volkan first time in 2004 in US), cryoablation (freezing method), permanent pacemaker and defibrillator (ICD) implantation and follow-up are performed.
